Gangskör - highest judged 5 year mare

Fall 2009, at the annual Gala Dinner of The Assoc. of Horse Breeders in Hunavatnssysla, Gangskör was given top prize for best in show for 5 year old mares

The sire of Gangskör is the famous Gustur from Hóli and the mother is our very own Bylgja from Svignaskarð.  Gangskör was shown this spring by Daníel Jónsson, and got a total mark of 8.09

Magnús Jósefsson, who accepted an award for the highest ranked 6 year mare, Sif from Brekka, on behalf of his uncle Haukur Magnússon.  Sveinn Ingi Grímsson, the owner of the highest judged 4 year mare, Smáralind from Skagaströnd.  Sigurður Örn E. Levy, who accepted the prize on behalf of himself and Sigurður Ágústsson for the highest judged 5 year old mare, Gangskör from Geitaskarði.

Um síðustu helgi var haldin uppskeruhátíð bænda og hestamanna í Austur Húnavatnssýslu.  Eðli málsins samkvæmt voru m.a. hrossaræktendum og kynbótahrossum veitt verðlaun fyrir afrek ársins og var Gangskör frá Geitaskarði verðlaunuð fyrir að ná bestum árangri í flokki fimm vetra hryssna.
